Installing it

Tap Download
The file is around 110 MB, so use wifi rather than mobile data if you can. It takes a few minutes.

Allow the install
Android asks whether to allow installs from your browser. This is normal for an app that doesn't come from the Play Store — say yes, then open the downloaded file.

Sign in
Use the same email and password you use on this website. Everything you see is the same account.
On an iPhone?
There’s no iPhone version yet, and nothing to search for in the App Store. You can add this website to your home screen instead: it gets its own icon and opens full screen, so it behaves much like the app. It takes about a minute.

Open this site in Safari
It has to be Safari — Chrome and the other iPhone browsers don't offer the step below.

Tap the Share button
The square with an arrow pointing out of the top, in the bar at the bottom of the screen. If the bar is hidden, scroll up a little and it reappears.

Choose “Add to Home Screen”
It's part way down the grey list, under the row of apps — keep scrolling past Copy and Add to Favourites.

Tap Add
Name it whatever you like, then tap Add at the top right. The icon appears on your home screen with your other apps.

Open it and sign in
Use the same email and password as this website. It opens full screen, without the browser bars, and stays signed in.
It works the same on an iPad. Notifications are the one thing the home screen version can’t do yet — we’ll still email you about assignments and events.
